HOLLAND CARD SET

This card set was generated from my spring trip in 2007 to Holland and Belgium. I combined three of my favorite things on this trip with my art, travel and love of flowers. I was able to view the tulips in bloom.
The paintings can be purchased as 8x10"prints for $16 including the shipping in the US. The names are top left "White Tulips", "Signs of Spring", "Tulip Closeup", "Holland Waterway", "Holland City", and "Windmills". The cards included all 6 views for $12 including shipping in the US.

Flower Set 2

More of my favorite flowers are here. I misnamed this set in one of my fliers once, but will get it right here as Flower Set 2. The daffodil painting won a ribbon in the Amity Daffodil Art Show. I will name the paintings for anyone interested in purchasing an 8x10" print of any of these pictures. "The Beauty of Roses", "Backlit Rose", "Mellow Yellow", "Compliments", "Sunflowers", and "A Friend's Gift" are all of the named paintings included in the card set. Alaskan Card Set

I lived in Juneau, Alaska for ten years with my family. I taught elementary school there. Juneau is a beautiful place especially on a rare sunny day. These paintings were inspired by the beauty of Juneau. They show my painting style of detailed realism with surreal color. The two paintings can be made into three cards each of the two images for the total of six cards per set. The card set sells for $12 including the shipping within the US. I have started this blog as a means of showing my various

card sets and prints that are available to purchase. My entire line will be from the first blog to later continuing ones. I assume prices will change as my expenses increase therefore the earlier blog prices will revert to the most current blog prices shown. I will continually add art work as I create it. Remember, you should look clear back to the first blog since all are available to purchase.

My mission is to create amazing, affordable art and art products for the enjoyment of all. I do the entire process of my work from start to finish by taking the photo, painting the picture, then scanning it into my computer and using the Adobe Photo Shop program to make my art into art products. I believe by having control over the entire process you will get better quality due to my pride in producing my own work. I sell 8x10"prints and 6 blank notecards per set. Italian Card Set

My trip to Italy was memorable. My youngest daughter was studying opera there and I went to Italy to visit her and sightsee. My cardset is $12 including shipping in the US. Cinque Terre, Legman, Italian Streets, and Italian Dining are available as 8x10"prints for $16 including shipping in the US. Cinque Terre was sketched on location and I applied a watercolor wash on it later. Lucca Carousel is a pen and ink with watercolor wash also. The rest of the paintings are done in watercolor.

New Zealand Card Set

I traveled to New Zealand and loved the hospitality of the residents, and charm of the country. The paintings show Christchurch Botanical Garden with "The Curator's House", "The Peacock Fountain" and "Punting on the Avon", "Aukland Sailing, " "The Remarkables" and "What Ewe Lookin' At?" They are all included in the $12 card set. The painting of the sheep, house and fountain can be ordered in an 8x10" print for $16. Shipping is included in the US.

Fiji Cardset

This card set has only two scenes in it reflecting the length of time my trip spent in Fiji. I did have time to do a pen and ink sketch on site of the Fiji Hut. Then I added a watercolor wash to recreate the beautiful bright colors of Fiji. The card set uses both scenes with three of each for the $12 per set. The second picture is of one of the fellow travelers with lizards on his clothing and hat that were placed there at the Eco Park in Fiji. I liked the color of his shirt with the lizards and the soft tropical background. These two have been made into prints also. The prints are 8x10s for $16. Many people have used the Fiji Hut print to represent other favorite tropical locations.

Travel Card Sets

A favorite pasttime of mine is traveling. I decided to combine my love of travel with my love of art and create wonderful travel notecards and artwork. First I go on a regular tour and take my camera so I can photograph many wonderful scenes and photos reminding me of the destination. I also take my pen and ink and sketch on my trip to get on site atmosphere into my work. When I return home I paint and turn my travel experience into my 8x10" prints and card sets.

Vineyard Card Set

In the area near where I live the hills are covered with vineyards. I love watching the changing scenes as I drive through the area year round. I have been inspired by this landscape to paint the pictures in my vineyard card set. The individual paintings have sold well as 8x10" prints as well as the notecard set. Many people have wine collections and use the prints for that area or give gifts of wine and use the cards with the gifts. The prints are available for $16 including shipping in the US. Garden Show Set

This set was inspired by attending the McMinnville Garden Show. I love flower gardens and this is a tribute to the beauty of flowers. The set is popular as well as the paintings individually as 8x10" prints for $16 including shipping in the US. Flower Set 3

I love to grow flowers. The smell, the colors, the shapes, and the over all beauty intrigue me. My dream is to have my garden look like an English Country perennial garden. It should have an informal pattern and when one flower quits blooming another will take its place. I wish to have bulbs and plants blooming from late winter to late fall. I choose flowers as a painting subject many times. The flowers sell well.

Be sure when you order one of my flower sets to distinguish which you are ordering by using the correct title.

This is a self portrait. I am a retired elementary teacher that decided to pursue art after becoming widowed and empty-nested.

I moved from Juneau, Alaska back to Oregon. Then began studying art seriously having minored in art in college. I took classes from Barbara Berry, Judy Morris, Jan Kunz, Claudia Nice, Michael Atkinson, and Frank Webb all to speed further along the learning continuum. I sketch in pen and ink on my trips and add watercolor washes. I mainly love painting watercolors. It is a difficult, but challenging media to work in. There are so many different techniques to learn and effects that can be achieved that I enjoy it immensely.

I have worked with two art groups since moving back to Oregon in 2001. The first group was from Bend, Oregon and I am currently in the Grand Ronde Art Guild. We participate in the Amity Daffodil Art Show, the PCL art auction, and the Coastal Hills Art Tour annually. My work is sold at the Spirit Mtn. Casino Hotel gift shop. I also participate at the Tribal Elder's Bazaar held each year in December as well as selling my work through my yearly fliers.

The work posted prior to this that follow on this blog are the first cardsets I created. They are still available to purchase. You can send a check or money order with the number and name of the sets you wish to buy and they will be sent in the mail.

Tea Time Cards

These tea cards were inspired by my niece who owns a tea business. They would work nicely for an invitation to a tea or a thank you of some kind. They also would work for inclusion with a gift.
